Padrick came to ADFU after being a member of one of the Bastion service corporations. He was responsible for running the O-PNSN Keepstar safe cyno for a long time during Bastion's deployment to Fountain, and stood watch as a station gunner to keep inbound pilots covered as they jumped to the cyno.

He became our Recruitment Director, and always had time to chat and interview prospective pilots. He spent countless hours teaching people how to add ESI to our services and tools — keeping people connected when they freshly joined us, directing new hires to resources to help them get their feet firmly planted and headed towards fame and fortune.

Today we raise our glasses to a stellar example of a space gentleman. A guy who was always in the service of others. Thank you for your hard work, rest well my friend.

Ashen Wraith was an old friend of a few people here in ADFU — the oldest friend of his is Fish. I got to know Ashen years ago in a corp called Concordiate, and while we might not have seen eye to eye on everything, and he was a bit of an acquired taste, Ashen was one of the most loyal people I've ever met.

He did things just to help out, for the sake of helping out. And was never afraid to let you know about how his PI was going. He was always willing to throw something expensive and shiny into a fight, because he could. One of the last things he did for the corp was donate 20 billion ISK to help kick start our industrial programs here — a debt we'll never be able to repay.

We knew that he was having medical issues. He spent more time in the hospital than at home in his last few months, had chronic pain, and a degenerative disease that was taking his eyesight, and would eventually take his life. But he wouldn't go out like that. He chose to end it on his own terms, in his own way.

Sadly, we'll never get confirmation of what happened. So today we light our cynos, in hope that he'll find his way to Valhalla.
